Why Do I Need An Unrestricted License?

Training on manual transmission gives you an unrestricted CDL, opening doors that automatic-only training simply can't. Here's the difference:

Manual Transmission (Unrestricted)

  • Increased job opportunities
  • Greater flexibility in equipment
  • Enhanced control of the truck
  • Potential better paying jobs
  • Broader experience
  • Resilience in the job market

Important: Some companies that only operate automatics still require no restrictions on your license.

Automatic Transmission Only

  • Easy to learn
  • Less fatigue
  • Higher demands (limited to automatic-only jobs)
  • Fewer skills to master
  • Faster testing process
